Casa C+N comes from the merger of 2 distinct side by side apartments.
The idea was to recover original furniture and memories from the 60ies through a study of colors and lights, creating emotions around each element.
Along the different spaces there’s a repeated use of circle shapes and right angles.
The house, fully made of tuff stone, has 2 main areas which are a continuous lounge-kitchen space ahead of two bedrooms and two restrooms.
Key element in the lounge-kitchen area is the L-shape table that can be used for connecting a linear kitchen with the lounge area, but also for having a snack time or working as well.
A salmon painted arch opens to a wide and bright living room, with a view on the surrounding landscape, warmed up by a chimney where you can sit and relax on old-fashioned and soft armchairs.
Today home also means workspace and this project considers such need tailored in a niche where previously there was a door, now walled up and covered by ash wood sided by a desk and shelves designed ad-hoc.
An ash sliding door introduces the bedroom area, being at the same time a fully integrated element of the main wall.
Alongside the tiny hallway, a storage space is designed with a continuous scale of colors before entering in the two bedrooms and restrooms.
Lights centered on the night tables create a relaxing atmosphere for the main bedroom, where a partition hides a large wardrobe but also hangs a big size TV fronting the bed.
Each of the two restrooms has a unique design with different styles either using marble in the shower or strip LEDs surrounding specific points of the wall.
